Workplace Issues

I believe that effective therapy is built on trust, collaboration and a genuine understanding of each person’s unique experiences. My aim is to provide a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore the challenges you’re facing, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. Since establishing Cloud9 Therapy in 2011, I have supported adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, developing extensive experience in anxiety, panic, self-esteem, confidence, depression and trauma.

While I work with many different presenting concerns, I have particular experience in helping people overcome anxiety disorders, panic, low self-esteem, confidence difficulties, depression and the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is integrative from a person-centred perspective, drawing on counselling, hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, REBT and many other psychological models to tailor therapy to your individual needs. Rather than applying a single model to every client, I adapt my approach to ensure our work together is both evidence-informed and responsive to your personal goals.

Therapy is about more than simply reducing symptoms. Together, we will explore the patterns, beliefs and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, helping you develop greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence. My goal is to help you create meaningful, sustainable change that continues long after therapy has ended. Alongside my private practice, I also provide clinical supervision for both trainee and qualified therapists. I offer structured, collaborative and reflective supervision, creating a supportive environment where practitioners can develop their clinical skills, explore ethical practice and grow in confidence while remaining true to their own therapeutic approach.

While my professional training and many years of clinical experience guide my work, my own experiences with anxiety earlier in life have also given me a personal appreciation of how overwhelming these difficulties can feel. This allows me to combine professional expertise with genuine empathy, offering compassionate support without judgement.

What to Expect

1. Complimentary Introductory Call
I offer a complimentary up to 20 minute phone call where we’ll discuss what’s brought you to therapy, what you’d like to achieve, and whether I’m the right therapist for you. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

2. Initial Consultation and Goal Setting
During our early sessions, we’ll explore your current difficulties, relevant life experiences, and the goals you’d like to work towards. Together, we’ll develop a shared understanding of your needs and agree on a therapeutic approach that feels right for you.

3. Therapy
Each session provides a confidential, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. We’ll work collaboratively to understand unhelpful patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build the confidence and resilience needed to create lasting change.

4. Moving Forward
As therapy progresses, we’ll regularly review your progress and adapt our work as needed. The aim is for you to leave therapy feeling more confident, equipped with practical tools, and better able to manage life’s challenges independently.
